What a great weekend in the House! Tania Harris preached up a storm, challenging us to live the ‘God life’ rather than the ‘good life.’ She referred to the God life being lead by God’s hand versus the good life by natural and ordinary means. We were challenged not to remain passive but rather still do all we can with our natural abilities. We are in partnership with God so listen for him to speak and he will show you what to do.

Last Sunday’s message was based from Luke 8:40-56. How amazing that Jesus, being on the way to attend to an urgent need was able to heal a woman who had been bleeding for 12 years. We were encouraged to reach out to Jesus as this woman did by touching just the hem of his garment. We understood that interruptions may not be convenient but it could create an opportunity for God to use us and for someone else to be blessed.

Last Sunday we had a time of reflection and thanksgiving of what God has done for us individually and for Compass Church. After the looking back, we looked around, being reminded from numerous scriptures that God is faithful and trustworthy. Then in looking forward, we were asked what steps for faith will we take in 2012? Are we faithful and can we be trusted? We were challenged to review priorities in our lives, to prayerfully consider making Life Groups and Church a priority in 2012-A commitment to family, relationships and community. Phil 3:12-14 gave a final endorsement to ‘look up’ as we anticipate what is to come in 2012.

PRAY, PRAY AND AGAIN I ASK YOU TO PRAY!Sadly we revert to prayer normally when there is a disaster or tough times. This in itslef is not a bad thing BUT I wonder how different things would be if WE the Church prayed with this kind of depseration ALL THE TIME???!!!
